Here's the piece from the Howey site (it's actually 11 points):

No word on Obama vs. Romney so far ...

Yeah, this one is over.

Did they poll the presidential race though?

Mourdock internal has Mourdock leading 46% to 44% so, yeah, it's safe to say he's trailing. Not sure I buy that he's down eleven points.

His last internal had him one up (45-44). Did he release a third one?

Well, it would be really bad for his campaign if he released an internal showing him down ...

The Romney/Obama numbers give this some credibility. It'll probably be closer than this, but a big mouth has cost the GOP yet another seat.

The race that's important is the race for Superintendent of Public Instruction, where Democratic challenger Glenda Ritz has pulled to within 4 of incumbent Tony Bennett. Let's do this!!!

Who would ever have guessed in January that the Democratic floor in the senate would be 51 this year?  And that's assuming they lose all of the current toss-ups.

Talk about abortion aborts another GOP chance of winning a Senate Seat. Hope Donnelly is like Bayh!

That is the problem with late breaking scandals. You have no time to react and no time to change your response strategy if your initial actions don't work to resolve the problem.

In NC it is just the opposite ironically. The incumbent Democrat is down to just a 2% lead according to PPP and it is against one of the Republicans on the now infamous Wake County School Board.

Right, right, I think he's saying Mourdock had to the third one with either a one or two point lead, because it would be suicide to post a public internal in which he was trailing.

The irony here is that Donnelly has a very similar position on abortion to Mourdock.

Yeah, I just re-read the post and it clicked.
