Glad I'm watching MSNBC Tuesday so i can know who the winner is 30 minutes before CNN finally calls it. CNN is way too balanced even when it shouldn't be.

Obama is cracking 40% among whites in this. If that holds, they he is going to win.

Not that I'm disputing this poll, but It needs to be said that CNN is trying desperately to hold up the moderate mantle in an attempt to re-brand themselves in the cable news wars. Of course, they're going about it all wrong. They could just do a great job reporting the news, but instead they insist on this ridiculous point/counterpoint nonsense and never giving straight forward answers in any type of political coverage.

They think people will laud them for being politically moderate, but these days it seems people just want journalists to tell them what they want to hear, so CNN will still lose in the ratings to Fox and MSNBC. Sort of like how people say they want bipartisanship but keep voting for members of one political party.

Cope, do you really think CNN is going to jigger up a poll just to "look moderate?"

No, I never said the poll wasn't accurate or part of some narrative. My comments about CNN were more of a side note (coming from a Broadcast News major who was taught by professors who had ties to CNN)

If anything, they'd probably "jigger" a poll to get better ratings on election night. Tied race = ratings (especially since many Americans probably still don't understand the electoral college is and perhaps even think the popular vote decides presidential elections).

I don't think they actually did that though, to be clear.
