I can't count how many times we heard in 2000 that Gore lost with "the people who knew him best." At least he won some areas in TN. Romney did worse than Generic R in Massachusetts. Worse than George W. Bush, who was a spectacularly bad fit for the state.

Romney is 1 pt ahead of W in 2004, and 5 pts ahead of W in 2000.

For some reason I thought that no Dem had topped 60% in Massachusetts recently.
