Thx.

Anyway, Rasmussen is 52-47 approve today.

Rasmussen was 50-49 approve on Tuesday, when the Exit Poll showed 54-45 approve.

So, factoring in the "4%-Rasmussen-effect", it's basically 56-43 approve today.

Bush went from 49.5 approve on RCP 1 day before the election to about 53% approve a few weeks after that.

But I guess Obama will get a similar 5% or so bounce which will last a few weeks and when the budget talks start it will drop back again.

National Exit Poll:

54% Approve
45% Disapprove

So four percent who approve voted against him? Huh

No, among the 54% who approve, Obama won 89-9.

Among the 45% who disapprove, Romney won 94-3.

Rasmussen:

53% Approve (+2)
45% Disapprove (-2)

So, basically 57-41, considering the "4%-Rasmussen effect" ...

Has Rasmussen re-weighted its numbers to a D+6 electorate? And has Gallup started including non-whites in their poll?

Yes:

SC unregistered voters must be quite Obama-loving.

Considering that there were about 2.88 Mio. registered voters out of 3.49 Mio. people aged 18+, who are also citizens.

Which further means that there were 610.000 unregistered adult citizens.

Based on the sample, unregistered voters have to approve of Obama by 72-3, with 25% undecided to get an adult 48-41 approval.

My math:

Adult sample: 929 (48% approve (446), 41% disapprove (381), 102 undecided)

RV sample: 767 (43% approve (330), 49% disapprove (376), 61 undecided)

Difference: 162, 116 who approve and 5 who disapprove and 41 undecided

72% approve, 3% disapprove and 25% are undecided.

This is the president's highest rating since the first few months of his time in office.

Today’s figures include 33% who Strongly Approve of the way Obama is performing as president and 33% who Strongly Disapprove.

Today marks the first time since July 2009 that the number of voters who Strongly Approve has matched the number who Strongly Disapprove.
