So it ends 332-206...Nate Silver pitched a perfect game in his Prez picks, as did PPP

The President may not have needed it but the 3,4 and even 8 hours my family waited in line to vote did not go to waste!!!! WE WON FLORIDA!! (No incumbent since McKinley in 1900 has won re-election without winning FL as well!)

FL is a very underrated win for the democrats this year, but I saw it coming, largely because of the MINORITY vote, which like other states (i.e. VA, CO, etc) is making it tougher and tougher for republicans to win.

Like '08, it seemed like FL was setup for Romney to win, but Obama got it again.

Chaddyr23,
I feel for you and others in certain parts of Florida for the huge, huge lines and waiting for hours to vote. This was shown on many of the networks on TV nationally. I think that kind of wait and the fact that Florida did not prepare properly for all those voters in Florida is ridiculous. In California, I waited only 2 minutes in line. Makes you wonder if Florida's elected officials and local/county election boards, wanted to intentionally make the process taxing for some of the voters (if so, discusting).

I recommend that you push your local political officials to do everything in the power to correct this, for future elections.

By the way, I think Obama in his victory speech, was speaking about the troubles some had with long lines, and my gut tells me that it was directly related to the problems seen in Florida.

The last incumbent winning re-election (election) to lose Florida, was in fact Calvin Coolidge in 1924; Theodore Roosevelt didn't win Florida in 1904 either, nor did William McKinley: Florida was in the "Democratic" deep south.
Wow! so Florida, ends up in the Obama column, yep the nation was waiting with bated breath, we could've had another 2000! - because I guess the suspense was getting unbearable with the uncertainty...Whew!

CNN still hasn't projected Obama winning Florida.    Roll Eyes

They must be still gun-shy after the 2000 debacle...

Yeah, LOL.

If the Romney staff concedes, there's no room left for doubt: 332-206. Thanks to Nate, I'm going to get a good prediction score! Cheesy

Well, off by 1 state (FL) in my Pres. prediction.

But I got 100% in the Senate and 100% in the Gov. prediction.

Really? You predicted Heitkamp and Heller? Kudos!

I should have been more optimistic in my Senate prediction. North Dakota was my only miss. That might have been the only race I missed in all.

I didn't do Gov, but you're one better than me in the other two - Colorado (what was I thinking?) and Heitkamp.
At least I called all three errors tossups - and I had only seven of those (the others being VA and NC presidentially, and Tester and Heller.)
