there was an encouraging report in the ny times that noted that president bush is planning to propose a drastic cut back on farm subsidies.

of course, they should be totally eliminated, but ill be happy if we can at least get a drastic reduction.

farm subsidies are one of the most glaring examples of corporate welfare.
