Hmm.. you think that re-evaluating ones opinions is a personality disorder?

Completely reversing one's established view of life in the span of a few months would certainly indicate mental health issues; perhaps you had a nervous breakdown or something of the sort?

My 'view of life' hasn't changed one bit, goldwater.

Really? Well, I suppose changing from social Darwinism to Marxism isn't really that big of a leap, is it? Roll Eyes

Its just a matter of personal preference.  My view of the facts hasn't changed one bit.  You'll note that I always thought the vast majority of people were screwed under capitalism.

Actually, the humorous thing is that I disproved that. You once stated that "95 percent" of Americans were better off economically under the "laissez-faire" system of George W. Bush. I can find the quote if you want me to. Smiley

Well, if I ever said that, I was being very factually inaccurate.

while in fascism, property exists nominally, but the effective control of it lies with the state.

In theory there is no state in fascism; it's replaced by The Party; in practice it takes a while for the state to be eaten by The Party, but it happens in the end.

At least now you're admitting that you did say that laissez-faire capitalism was good for the common man. No flip-flopping here...

No, I never admitted that.  I merely said that if I ever had said such a thing, it was obviously in error.

I'm sure my stance was always that capitalism helped the rich and did nothing for the working class - I just didn't care previously.

In any case, fascism is clearly a very pro-capitalist system.

Riiight... Roll Eyes

Walmart has done more to increase the standard of living - through cheap prices - than any other single organization of the last 20-30 years.

Apparently you have more time on your hands than I Dibble - I refuse to go searching through my old posts.

The past is past, time to move on and talk about our present-day arguments.
