I don't think the language of the concept as articulated helps anyone, but I'm not sure how I'd articulate it instead.

ahhhh, subtle racism, where have you been?  Note that nobody on the left will call him on it.  They'll say modern left leaning antisemitism is a very small minority of anti-Zionists (and I'd actually agree that it is a minority, though not a small one), but they often ignore it when they see it.

I've only met one person who opposed Israel for antisemitic reasons, and that person was a politically active Nazi. There's not really any antisemitism in the pro-Palestinian movement which is accepted. The theory is total bullsh**t and just meant to invalidate criticisms of a human-rights abusing state.
