Mitt Romney met with his family at Saginew Lake a few day ago, and it is rumored that the discussion of 2016 came up.
Source?
Someone mentioned it on FOX News last night - I want to say O'Reily. I saw folks discussing it earlier in the Mitt 2016 group page.

Jay Nixon, speaking at the National Governor's Association, says that the 2016 field of Democratic candidates could use a "voice from the heartland", though he also noted that he'll back Hillary Clinton if she runs:

Meanwhile, Christie made a rare (for him) venture into foreign policy discussion:

A slew of upcoming GOP visits to Iowa discussed here (some of which have already been mentioned in this thread):

http://www.desmoinesregister.com/story/news/politics/elections/2014/07/13/rick-perry-algona-clear-lake/12591483/

First, as already mentioned by RogueBeaver, Christie's doing Iowa fundraisers for the RGA and for Branstad on Thursday.

Next, Perry's in Iowa next weekend:

Next up is Rand Paul:

Then on August 9, Cruz, Huckabee, Jindal, Perry, and Santorum will all be in Ames for the Family Leadership Summit.

Here's a decent roundup of Christie's latest, on gay marriage, foreign policy, Obamacare, etc.:

http://themoderatevoice.com/196747/signs-are-chris-christie-is-running-for-president-rhetoric-veers-right/

None of these really count as "flip-flops" for Christie, but a shift in emphasis that may be designed to shift his image more towards something GOP primary-friendly.

Meanwhile, here's a dispatch from O'Malley's latest trip to Iowa:

More on the GOP trips to Iowa: Huckabee will not only be in Iowa for the aforementioned Family Leadership Summit, but he'll also be in Cedar Rapids for the Aug. 7-8 "Pastors and Pews" event:

http://www.desmoinesregister.com/story/news/politics/elections/2014/07/03/huckabee-paul-evangelical-events/12158607/

And again regarding the aforementioned Family Leadership Summit, Paul has declined an invitation to speak at that one.  He also hasn't yet committed one way or the other on the Pastors and Pews event, causing some to wonder if he's pursuing an electoral strategy that doesn't rely too heavily on Evangelicals:

Bob Dole is making another statewide tour through Kansas - he has had several in the past year. With signs indicating that the Kansas caucus may be more relevant in 2016 than in past elections, could this be a sign that Senator Dole is gearing up for one more run?

Ryan says as usual he'll decide next year. What would get him into the race? "Well, it would be a sense of duty, a sense of obligation, a sense that if you feel you can offer something that others can't that can help save this country," Ryan said. "I really believe the next, I don't know, half a dozen years are going to make or break this country in many ways, in many profound ways."
