Another post updating on both Dean and Walker....

After previously having said that she won't "get a free pass" in 2016, Dean is now "Ready for Hillary":

Of course, qualifying "I'm supporting Hillary Clinton" with "at this point" is something that people will parse.  What does that mean?  He's supporting Hillary Clinton up until she says something he doesn't like, at which point he runs against her?

Also, what does that second bolded quote mean?  "Ahhgh"?  Why is Dean saying "ahhgh" while in Iowa?  Didn't he already get in trouble by saying "YAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!" while in Iowa?  Speaking of which:

Meanwhile, on the GOP side of things, "multiple people" in Scott Walker's political "orbit" talk to Politico about Walker's 2016 game plan:

The story also mentions Walker's early primary state travel, including one that I think I missed, which is that he'll be visiting Michigan next month for the Mackinac Republican Leadership Conference.

Some quick hits on several potential candidates:

John Bolton

Bolton actually sounds pretty serious about a run this time, saying that he thinks about a possible run "nearly daily", and suggesting that he'll be hiring a staff in the coming months:

Ron Paul

Rand Paul's father says he has "no plans" to run in 2016, but doesn't manage to close the door completely:

Ted Cruz

Cruz won't preemptively endorse his homestate governor, Rick Perry for prez in 2016 (perhaps because he might run himself):

O'Malley has reportedly "made it clear" to some of his closest supporters that he's running in 2016….at least if Clinton doesn't run:

Christie, Paul, Rubio, Ryan, and Walker will all speak at an RNC fundraiser in NYC next month:

Many of the 2016ers are getting involved in the Virginia gubernatorial race:

http://therun2016.com/the-16-cavalry-is-coming-for-cuccinelli/

On the Democratic side, Hillary Clinton is holding a fundraiser for McAuliffe next month.  Biden and O'Malley attended events with McAuliffe over the summer.

On the GOP side, Jindal and Walker have already done events for Cuccinelli, while Rubio, Cruz, and Paul are all planning visits to the state to help him out.

Steve King made an appearance in South Carolina, and is planning to tour NH as well, as well as making several campaign-style stops in his home state of Iowa.  This would normally suggest presidential ambition, but David Catanese reports that King is planning to be something more like a "shadow" presidential candidate, who tries to act as 2016 gatekeeper:

Rick Perry said last week that running for prez in 2016 is "still a very viable option", and that he looks forward to debating fellow Texan Ted Cruz in such a campaign:

Perry will also return to Iowa in November for the Polk County GOP fall dinner:

A column in The Hill, titled "Ryan stays out of 2016 spotlight":

http://thehill.com/blogs/ballot-box/presidential-races/319547-paul-ryan-stays-out-of-2016-spotlight-

The speculation had previously been that Walker would defer to Ryan if Ryan wanted to run, since Ryan has much more star power, coming off of the 2012 campaign.  But this article suggests that Ryan may in fact defer to Walker:

I forget if this was already mentioned, but Cruz, Rubio, Perry, and Jindal will all be a "two-day Defending the American Dream Summit, a Florida confab hosted by the Koch-backed Americans for Prosperity Foundation (David Koch is chairman of the board, helped start the group and is reportedly its largest funder)":

And I was there Smiley.

Cruz gave a great speech. Rubio, Perry, and Jindal were gone by day two. Lots of elderly teabaggers and beautiful young classy conservative women as well.

Also, the picture in that article looks photoshopped.  The lighting on Marco looks off:

We know Ryan's writing his largely by himself, Rubio's first was a mixed bag IIRC. Only of these I own is Jindal's.
