Ryan's book will be titled "Where Do We Go From Here?" and focus on the conservative movement.

The key quotes from that article...

I wonder how many of his supporters also backed Rick "college is for elitist snobs" Santorum.

Some of Cuomo's supporters are getting antsy, and want him to give them some kind of sign regarding his 2016 intentions:

Bill Clinton (on Letterman) says that he "doesn't know" whether Hillary will run for president in '16, but does note that they're enjoying being able to live like "normal people" now that neither of them hold public office:

Buzzfeed reports on last night's confab at Woody Johnson's home. Says Paul might have more support among the Northeastern moneymen than expected.

NYP has more details for us: Christie, Paul, Rubio and Ryan were there. Christie and Paul generated the most buzz, with Christie focusing on his blue-state success and Paul on the need to attract African-American and Dem voters. Rubio focused on his bio.

Rubio was the only présidentiable to attend the Branstad fundraiser. Everyone else had scheduling issues.

Rubio said he "wouldn't have time" for any more early primary state visits this year, but that apparently doesn't exclude making nice with key early primary state pols by speaking at their fundraisers in DC.  Wink

Since leaving office as Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton hasn't talked all that much about domestic political issues....until now.  She was on a panel at the Clinton Global Initiative, and had the following to say on the pending government shutdown:

Howard Dean, making trip to New Hampshire, doesn't rule out 2016 presidential bid:

WOW. Imagine if Lee, Paul, and Cruz all ran. Assuming it's only one of them though, I REALLY hope that person receives the nomination. A House majority and a fillibuster-proof Senate majority would be very feasible in 2016 with Ted Cruz on the ballot, especially if he's running against Hillary.

Hillary will host a DeBlasio fundraiser, date TBD. Also the Ready for Hillary PAC has asked Team Obama for their donor list.

So I'd previously mentioned how Allen West had visited New Hampshire last month, stoking presidential speculation.  Well, he now says that he'll run for US Senate in 2016 if it becomes an open seat due to Rubio running for president:

Note that the filing deadline for the Senate seat isn't until late spring, so Rubio could run in the presidential primaries, but then jump out of the presidential race and into the Senate race if he loses the nomination.

One also wonders....does this necessarily preclude West running for president himself, up until Rubio makes a final decision on his own reelection?

On another note, West is out at Pajamas Media:

Rubio wants his donors to donate $10k to Tom Cotton before the Q3 deadline, following up on his earlier endorsement. At this rate they'll probably campaign together next year.
