Politico on Christie's strategy this year. RGA-focused, no PAC, limited early state travel, no overt pivot. All of which was planned before Bridgenado.

Barbara Bush doesn't sound so keen on Jeb running for president:

Donald Trump, who has floated the possibility both of running for NY governor in 2014 and running for president in 2016, now says that there's a 50-50 chance of him running for governor:

My face just dropped then.

I'm confused at the timing. Isn't it a bit late to start campaigning?

Your mistake is taking anything Donald Trump says seriously.

This is a longer TBT read on Rubio's plans, just crossposting because it says he'll make a decision by this time next year. Raised $8 million last year.

Answering the question no one asked, Paul LePage says that he won't run for president in 2016:

Trump's at an event in NH, from which he did a phone interview with Reuters, in which he didn't rule out either running for president or running for NY Governor:

Yeah, I posted that and several other articles on Bernie Sanders's possible presidential ambitions, going back to November 16:

Rubio's checklist. AP has similar articles on others going up, including Hillary and Ryan. They do this mini-series periodically.

Who Christie might tap for a campaign. The other candidate hires were mentioned in a National Journal article a few months ago.

Deval Patrick, who's already ruled himself out of running for president in 2016, doesn't sound too keen on being VP either:

Still far more likely that Ryan doesn't run, but if he does then he could easily grab the "fusion" slot and take a chunk of Christie's non-Northeastern establishment support.
