Hillary: I'll decide "probably after the first of the year."

Even though Elizabeth Warren said she wasn't running a few times, I still believed she was going to run and be a thorn in Hilary's side in the Democratic Primary, but after hearing news that she wrote to the FCC separating herself from the "Ready for Warren" PAC, I believe her now.

Deval Patrick says "maybe" to a White House run:

http://thehill.com/blogs/ballot-box/presidential-races/216755-deval-patrick-says-maybe-to-a-presidential-run

Note that in May, he said that he might run for president some day, but not in 2016:

I think Portman could be a frontrunner for VP again depending on who the nominee is. If he runs and does well on the campaign trail, that could be a boost for his chances. But I also have a hard time seeing him actually win the nomination.

Of course, like Ayotte, Rubio, and Thune (among others), his Senate seat's up in 2016, so running for VP means taking himself out of Senate reelection.  Though if he's seriously thinking about a run for president, then I guess his Senate seat might not be the highest priority for him.

Cruz held a confab last week involving supporters and donors.

Cruz would be jumping he gun if he decided to run in 2016.  2020 would be fine as Hillary's opponent, or attempting to primary a moderate GOP President if said moderate alienates everybody during his first term.

I don't think he would even have the support to make a respectable showing.  Moderates and Neo-Cons don't like him that much, Rand Paul has a lock on the Tea Party/Independents when it comes to GOP nominees, and Evangelicals will flock to either Huckabee and/or Santorum, depending on which one of them decide to enter the fray.  The only way that Cruz would have a legitimate shot is if Rand Paul falters within the next year, but Rand is probably too skilled of a politician to get himself involved in one of those career-killing situations.

Rubio said a Dem Senate would make it more likely he runs, Cruz cites foreign policy.

Romney sounds like he is going to run after seeing him on Fox News Sunday.

I like Mitt, but I hope he doesn't.

I saw that, since that was in the interview, but I don't really buy it. I can't explain why, it's just a hunch.

Further moves in Cruz's office suggest a run:

As the story notes, both Paul and Rubio have been making similar moves of late.  Both shifting their chiefs of staff from their congressional offices to their political operations.

Run Cruz run!

Even if he doesn't win the nomination, he's going to drag the other Republicans to the far right and damage them in the general.

A quick roundup of news....

Paul turns down an invitation (from Grover Norquist!) to Burning Man, in 2015, saying that "I might be pretty busy next summer":

http://www.ibtimes.com/rand-paul-president-2016-senator-uses-burning-man-invitation-hint-presidential-campaign-1686450

Uhh...Senator?  Burning Man is in Nevada, an early caucus state.  Seems like it might actually fit within your plans.

Biden will travel to Iowa on Wednesday, just three days after Hillary Clinton will appear in the state:

http://thehill.com/blogs/ballot-box/217453-biden-heads-to-iowa-3-days-after-clinton

Christie celebrates his birthday (including special guest Mitt Romney), and gives a speech that's mostly about national and international issues:

Finally, Portman on 2016:

This news is a couple of weeks old, but I missed it at the time.  Jim Webb was in Iowa a few weeks ago, and gave a non-denial on 2016:

I was under the impression he's already stated if he ran it would be as a Democrat.
