Heard over word of Facebook Dennis Michael Lynch announced his run for 2016.
I haven't heard anything about it.

Edit: Oh my God, the Palm Beach County Tea Party (my former Tea Party) wants him to run. I never heard of him until now Tongue.

The announcement is on his official page, three posts down.

Linky.

Jindal's defense speech at AEI tomorrow will call for a defense budget that's 4% of GDP.

Long read from Halperin on Jeb. He says Jeb's family is less opposed than they were but he himself is genuinely undecided.

Sanders has upcoming trips to both Iowa and New Hampshire:

Meanwhile, O'Malley continues to pitch himself as a fallback candidate in case Clinton doesn't run, rather than an alternative to her if she does run:

Jindal may announce this year: after midterms or "sometime after the holidays."

Meh. Jindal is an irrelevant candidate. I doubt Democrats are going to rejoice someone who they won't even get to run against.

Rubio returns to IA on the 28th, speaking at the Scott County GOP's dinner and stumping for Ernst.

His announcement speech.

Given his connections to Fox, I wonder if he'll be in any debates at least on that channel.

Is the general consensus among Democrats and her supporters that there is no way Elizabeth Warren is running? I've read a lot of mixed things. And I don't view her "I'm not running" claims any different than Romney's.

Among those who are paying attention, yes. She rejected the PAC Ready for Warren and insisted she supports Clinton. Romney hasn't made such a clear denial.

Why has there been no media coverage at all? Not even a mention on wikipedia? I know he has no chance in hell, but even Bob Barr's announcement in 08 got some coverage.

Because he's completely insignificant.

Barr at least was a member of congress and had some notoriety, notably during the Clinton Impeachment. Plus, he was in Borat...

Forgot about Borat!

Still, the media covered really, really minor candidates before. I think Lynch is more relevant than Roemer, and Roemer got some media coverage when he announced. I haven't even found a Conservative blog mentioning this development, and the people who have added in Bob Ehrlich to the 2016 Republican candidates wikipage haven't mentioned Lynch let. It just seems kind of weird to me.

He may not be a Herman Cain or Mitt Romney, or even Thad McCotter, but you'd think he'd get more coverage than John Davis's 2012 bid Tongue.

Christie was in New Hampshire today, and will be in Iowa again later this month.  Pence will also be in NH later this month, and Perry was scheduled to make the trip there earlier this week, but cancelled in order to deal with the Ebola issue in Texas:

So, sounds like if he does run, he wouldn't enter the race until May at the earliest.

Among Clinton's campaign stops for Dems this week is a trip to the early caucus state of Nevada on Monday:

Meanwhile, *Bill* Clinton is visiting New Hampshire later this week:
