So, with Rubio out of the way, I expect Bush and Walker to surge more.

Who says Rubio's "out of the way"?

He is not going to announce that he's running for president this early. I think chances are good he is going to announce he's running for re-election.

He very well could announce an exploratory committee before the end of the year.  This isn't too early.  Both Jindal and Portman have made similar statements suggesting that they might announce something before the end of the year.

Heck, both Giuliani and McCain announced exploratory committees in November 2006.  14 months before the Iowa caucuses isn't too early for an exploratory committee.

Portman has absolutely no shot, and for that I'm grateful.

Why do you think Portman has no shot?

The marriage issue. It matters to GOP primary voters a lot.

*Begins*?  He's already made 13 trips to early primary states since Jan. 1, 2013:

Ryan Lizza seems to think the three most likely anti-Hillay's are O'Malley, Webb and Sanders

It's a great article as well, y'all should read it. Lizza's very good.

And the financial sector was furious.” He added that one Northeastern senator—Webb wouldn’t say who—“was literally screaming at me on the Senate floor.”

Who could that be?

If I was O'Malley I'd be too embarrassed to leave my house (much less run for president) considering what just happened in Maryland. It was a complete repudiation of him in one of the bluest states in the country.

Exactly how Paul is going to manage the current legal prohibition against appearing on both the presidential and Senate primary ballots in Kentucky is unclear.

Local Badger journo wondering if a) Ryan has the fire to run nationally b) if he's too wonky for primary voters. Concludes that he may jump in if the field isn't strong or early frontrunners falter.

Christie will not resign if he runs, though some donors want him to.
