This vote will end soon- as most everyone included Franzl, I will assume this vote was fair... I apologize for the confusion over who is running...

I will post the results shortly

I wrote this last night, combining parts of the RPP platform, Whig Platform, while also focusing an emphasis on regional rights.

Mission Statement

The Federalist Party believes that individuals, not the government, can make the best decisions. We stand for the rights of regions, and oppose any attempts by the federal government to infringe on their rights. We believe that all individuals are equal and entitled to equal rights.

Platform
Foreign Policy
-That Atlasia must be mindful of its being the world's foremost power
-That military conflict, in general, is counter to the well-being of man and thus must be avoided unless absolutely necessary
-That diplomacy, not warfare, is the cornerstone of foreign relations
-That multilateralism and collective security- a community of nations- is the best way to advance Atlasia's interests abroad
-That the goals set out in foreign interventions must be achieved.

Economics
-That the government is not the arbiter nor origin of economic growth, but rather a force than can and should be used to assisted the marketplace in its growth.
-That the model of free and unrestricted two-way trade is the optimal model for trade between nations
-That the government is, by nature, the power that can best provide certain resources and services to society
-The government should regulate trade and industry to maximize social equity, while in a manner that does not impede the normal functioning of the economy
-That welfare is meant to temporarily assist, not provide for, the people

Forum Affairs
- That the regions are the backbone of Atlasia, and their rights must be respected and preserved
- That Class A are a critical component of our Senate in maintaining power to the regions and guaranteeing representation of all Atlasians
- That in Atlasia, Supreme Court Justices must face re-confirmation if a majority of regions call for it by their respective legislative bodies.

Social Policy
- That freedom of speech, assembly, religion, the press, and respect for due process are essential components to a free society
- That the right to bear arms is a fundamental freedom that should be protected for all Atlasians
- That drug control policy is an issue best decided by regional governments
- That the respect of life should be promoted when considering abortion and the death penalty.
- That regional and federal governments should work together to promote legislation that encourages environmentally-friendly behavior

I want to take a moment to thank all the members of the Federalist Party for giving me your party's endorsement.  We may not always agree on the issues, but that just makes it that much more of an honor to have the support of this great party.  Btw, congratulations on developing your platform Smiley

I will allow 24 hours more of discussion in which any party member can propose amendments or ask questions...

For the record, I am very grateful to the platform committee and espeially Tmthforu94 for this platform. I do not agree wholeheartedly with every plank- but it is a unifying platform between the members of our party and the rest of Atlasia, and I support it

This is an excellent platform that can appeal broadly throughout Atlasia- and I saw this as a TPP member. There's only one plank I disagree with to some extent. Tmth did a great job in developing it and the Federalists are lucky to have it.

Which plank? We're welcoming everyone's inputs and opinions here.

Franzl (TPP) - ABSTAIN because one minute he is trying to ban drinks, the next he is using obstructionism as a cover to encourage obesity.

I like you too, Yankee! Wink

After discussion time for the platform has ended- we will move on to a vote... after that vote, we will hear from the bylaws committee unless there are any other elections before year's end that require our attention for an endorsement vote- are there any?

After the bylaws vote and the potential endorsement vote, we will hold elections for permanent Chairman, Vice Chairman, and Secretary

Protections for freedom of conscience for all people of atlasia should be strengthened. No one should have to make a choice between keeping their job, or remaining true to their faith. Nor should they be required to pay for things that are in opposition to their religious faith.

I'm going to shortly take a break from the platform discussion to hold an endorsement vote for the upcoming Pacific Governor race- are Wolfentoad and Fuzzybigfoot the only candidates?

Alright party members- please vote for one of these two candidates to endorse for the Pacific Governor election... they are both fine candidates from other parties who have respectfully asked for our consideration- I am sure they will accept questions by private message or in their campaign posts, but please keep this area as clear as possible for voting

Please vote for one of the below-

Wolfentoad
Fuzzybigfoot

Voting will last 24 hours...
