If we may nominate ourselves, I would like to nominate myself to the platform committee.

I second that motion. While I'm sure Griffin would make a fine Emperor, PiT has done a fantastic job, and better represents the ideas of our party. He deserves one final term.

Pardon the interruption, Gentleman, but I request an Endorsement for the Governorship of the PRP.
What's the last P stand for?

This is a tough decision, but what puts me over the edge for Spamage is the gracious way he handled the October At-Large Senate Special Election.

Many great candidates here - I'm trying to base this more on which would best represent the ideals of this party. That being said:

Snowstalker (Labor) - Aye
Marokai Blue (Labor) - Aye
Barnes (Labor) - Abstain
Mr. X (Liberal) - Aye
Kalwejt (Other) - Abstain
Franzl (TPP) - Aye

I would just like to inform the Federalist Party that Marokai and Franzl have opted not to seek reelection.

Sorry to interrupt.
Franzl is still a candidate...He announced just a few days ago that he changed his mind.

I wrote this last night, combining parts of the RPP platform, Whig Platform, while also focusing an emphasis on regional rights.

Mission Statement

The Federalist Party believes that individuals, not the government, can make the best decisions. We stand for the rights of regions, and oppose any attempts by the federal government to infringe on their rights. We believe that all individuals are equal and entitled to equal rights.

Platform
Foreign Policy
-That Atlasia must be mindful of its being the world's foremost power
-That military conflict, in general, is counter to the well-being of man and thus must be avoided unless absolutely necessary
-That diplomacy, not warfare, is the cornerstone of foreign relations
-That multilateralism and collective security- a community of nations- is the best way to advance Atlasia's interests abroad
-That the goals set out in foreign interventions must be achieved.

Economics
-That the government is not the arbiter nor origin of economic growth, but rather a force than can and should be used to assisted the marketplace in its growth.
-That the model of free and unrestricted two-way trade is the optimal model for trade between nations
-That the government is, by nature, the power that can best provide certain resources and services to society
-The government should regulate trade and industry to maximize social equity, while in a manner that does not impede the normal functioning of the economy
-That welfare is meant to temporarily assist, not provide for, the people

Forum Affairs
- That the regions are the backbone of Atlasia, and their rights must be respected and preserved
- That Class A are a critical component of our Senate in maintaining power to the regions and guaranteeing representation of all Atlasians
- That in Atlasia, Supreme Court Justices must face re-confirmation if a majority of regions call for it by their respective legislative bodies.

Social Policy
- That freedom of speech, assembly, religion, the press, and respect for due process are essential components to a free society
- That the right to bear arms is a fundamental freedom that should be protected for all Atlasians
- That drug control policy is an issue best decided by regional governments
- That the respect of life should be promoted when considering abortion and the death penalty.
- That regional and federal governments should work together to promote legislation that encourages environmentally-friendly behavior

I am very pleased with how well-received my platform proposal has been. I think this is a giant step towards the beginning of a conservative resurgence in Atlasia, something that is needed to provide a more competitive edge in the game.

Can I make a suggestion?

I think voting for the Chair and Vice Chair should be IRV in the first election, and then approval voting from then on. It promotes more stability in the party, and puts less politics in how the party is operated, something that I think is beneficial for long-term success. Should a leader be doing a poor job (I hope this never happens), it could still be very easy to have him removed, and then have an IRV election to replace him.

Here's my amendment:

Leadership:
3. The chairman and vice chairman will be elected every four months by approval voting within the thread of the party. The chairman and vice chairman elections shall occur in April, August, and December. Should either the chairman or vice chairman receive more than 50% disapproval, a new election shall take place for that position.

As someone who has worked with him extensively, I believe Assemblyman TexasDem is worthy of our endorsement.

I see a bright future for this party with Hagrid in command.

I third the nomination.
