Absurd, wanting to table this.

I would propose turning this into a resolution, removing clause 2, and instead of a museum, rename an airport after him or something grand like that. We owe our thanks to Governor John Engle.

Easy on the trigger there, atleast give him the 24 hours to explain himself. Then we can keelhaul him all the way to Reno and back for good measure. Wink Evil

Why? John Engle deserves to have his achievements put on display. I propose such a museum be located adjacent to the John Engle Mausoleum. The whole initiative should also be supervised by the Governor of Iowa and the regent, Kalwejt.

I highly doubt the constitutionality of section two...

I oppose the use of tax payer funds for the $50 million and instead recommend a voluntary donation type fund to construct. Food and Words are very controversial issues don't you know and it wouldn't be right to force tax payers to fund things they find as morally abhorrent as food and words. With a voluntary donation, his most hyperactive supporters can fund the musuem and taxpayers who disagreed with the man and his message, won't be asked to pay for it. Grin Tongue

How about a $100,000 deduction from his salary to pay for the food and words?

A motion to table the John Engle Memorial Act has been entered by Senator Averroës Nix and it has been seconded by Senator Oakvale. A 48 hour, 2/3rds vote is now open on the question of whether or not to table the underlying bill, please vote Aye, Nay or Abstain.

I change my vote to Nay. My opponent and friend, Kal, would like to vote Nay on this, and, considering that he ought to be Senator now, this is the minimum I can do for him Tongue
