I watched some of a debate between these two.  It was such a stark contrast in honesty and intellect.  Deb Fischer is just an embarrassment; a Palin-level cretin.  Just listening to her for a few minutes puts her on my short list for dumbest candidate of the 2012 campaign along with Mia Love and Rick Perry.

Kerrey was also my favorite non-incumbent candidate, along with Heitkamp.

Are you sure about that? According to his website, he's a birther, a 9-11 conspiracy theorist, and wants to amend the constitution to subject everyone who intentionally causes inflation or attempts to reduce a company's corporate tax to execution by hanging.

That's beautiful.

In actuality, he has no chance of getting any of those ideas passed, so his only useful function is as a protest vote against the atrociousness of the two other candidates. So the point still stands.
