This bill exempts veteran aliens seeking legal status under the Dream Act from having to meet the GPA requirement.

I don't want this to be controversial and I don't this to get sucked up into a larger debate about immigration and and immigration policy and so forth. There have been other and bills and other places to do that. Lets do this for our veterans and lets get it done before Christmas, preferably long before.

Therefore, I ask unanimous consent to waive the minimum debate time requirement and the cloture requirement to proceed immediately to a final vote. Senators have 24 hours to object.

Seeing no objection, the rules are suspended and vote to commence immediately. Senators, this is now at final vote, please vote Aye, Nay or Abstain.

Vote on Final Passage of A Dream of Veteran Fairness Act:

Aye (7): Averroës Nix, Ben, Franzl, HagridOfTheDeep, Marokai Blue, NC Yankee, and Snowstalker
Nay (0):
Abstain (0):

Didn't Vote (3): JulioMadrid, Oakvale and Simfan34

With seven votes in the affirmative and none in the negative, no vote change period is mandated, the bill has passed the Senate and is thus presented to the President for executive action.
