A baby was just aborted in the United States

According to CDC statistics, over 800,000 abortions are performed in the United States each year. That comes out to over 2,000 per day. Two every three minutes.

The debate doesn't have to start right now. Nobody here is going to do a damn thing about it, except to yell at each other.  It doesn't matter how strict the laws are, people are going to find ways to get abortions. People will find a way, and people will get abortions. If they can't get legally get one from a doctor, they will use a coat hanger. Ban coat hangers. Ban everything. 

So please, stop the insensitive fighting going on about the tragic events that just happened. It's appreciated. It is time for mourning, not for politics. Give some respect to those who just lost their lives and don't politicize this.

yes, I think that is the whole point of the thread.  In this case many gun rights folks think it disrespectful to talk about gun control in the wake of a massacre.  The OP seems to think that many of these people have no problem talking about abortion.

One thing I know is that if there were mass suicide bombings with the frequency of these shootings, we wouldnt wait around to talk about the best ways to stop them.

That embryo is a life as equal as the next person you can see.

To President Obama:

I may not agree with you on many things but I think I saw the Obama I could respect in tonight's speech. That of a father broken and angry over the sad events that we've seen and had to explain to your childern. As an uncle of ten, many of my nieces and nephews are around that age group mercilessly taken from us, I can emphasize with that anger and brokeness. There is something I do want to say.
