Hi, Comrades.
We got two motions before the convention and a leadership election up.
Motion 1 is: The ICMP hereby endorses Lewis Trondheim and True Democrat for President and Vice President of Atlasia. The ICMP also urges a second preference vote for Al and Siege40.
Motion 2 is: A committee to draft a party program and party by-laws is set up, to consist of Lewis Trondheim.
There are no declared candidates in the leadership election, but that's not a problem since we're doing this by approval voting and write-ins are permitted.
Would all members please vote on these three issues. Voting is by public post in this thread. Thank you for your time.

Well, all the members have voted, so I think it's time to close the polls and certify the results:
Motion 1 is adopted by a vote of 100.00% aye, 0.00% nay, 0.00% abstentions.
Motion 2 is defeated by a vote of 0.00% aye, 100.00% nay, 0.00% abstentions.
Lewis Trondheim is reelected as Party Leader. He received the votes of 100.00% of the party membership. He'll be with you in a second for an acceptance speech. (grabs a different microphone)
Thank you, guys. 100% of the vote. That's just great. And you endorsed me, too, by the same margin. I'm totally overwhelmed. Now all I need to do to win the Presidential Election is to convince the 99% of Atlasians who are not yet members of the ICMP. With you guys behind me, that should be easy. (Stagedives.)

Why, I didn't change the status quo, so how did I further anything?
Really I guess I was just venting my frustration at the lack of a functioning UL.
I might have called a UL convention but I would have risked being the only member to post. Thence this joke.
