With the well-earned departure of John Dibble for the higher office of Supreme Court Justice, a void has been left in the Constitutional offices of the Southeast that would cause considerable difficultly if I were to suffer from an unexpected departure.  Thus I have two announcements to make.

The first is that my illustrious predecessor, Governor HTMLDon, has consented to serve as Lieutenant Governor until the conclusion of the next election.  Among other things, this ensures that should there be an dispute over the Magistrate referendum, he would be able to rule on it as our Constitution specifies that in the absence of a Magistrate, the Lieutenant Governor may make any ruling that can't wait for there to be a Magistrate.  I wish I could encourage him to stay in the position longer, but he has declined that honor.

The second is my choice to nominate as Magistrate.  I have decided to nominate Cosmo Kramer of Arkansas as our new Magistrate.  He should bring a youthful energy to our jurisprudence that those who have reached the status of YaBB God have lost.

I hope that Dave will provide both of these public servants and our Region with his blessings, as our Region continues to attract the best and brightest of Atlasia to enjoy our sunny climate and active politics.

Excellent choices, Governor.

Proof yet again why the SE Region is the best region.

Thank for you for nomination, Governor Ernest.  I promise to uphold the SE constitution as best as I can and as strictly as possible.  Do I begin as magistrate imediately, or do I begin after the election?

Your term begins after the election, assuming that the voters approve your nomination.
