the problem with the plane analogy is the planned use of guns isn't that frequent. When you bring a gun into your home it is more likely going to injure or kill someone in the home than it is going to be used for self defense. Just ask Adam Lanza's mom...oh wait you cant


BTW as we speak there is another gun incident going on at a TX college. Two students got into an argument and then started shooting, a bystander or two got hit as well. Surprisingly schools are one place in TX where you cant carry a concealed gun but of course the TX GOP are trying to change that.

Will this incident prove their point that there needs to be more guns in schools?

It is an interesting question. Are there any documented cases where a previously banned weapon (or previously banned clip) was used in self defense?

BUt let's face it, the vast majority of gun violence is done with handguns. Nothing short of banning handguns (which will never happen) is going to make a big dent in gun violence.
