I'm advocating stricter gun laws in conjunction with drug legalization and the end of the persecution of minorities (loitering laws, petty crimes, truancy, pervasive discrimination) through which means we can organically reduce the vectors for crime in black and other inner city communities. The victims of the Newtown shooting weren't all black (although, had two nephews of mine not changed schools, they could have been shot- their teacher was), but black Americans remain disproportionately affected by the gun epidemic.
We need a War on Guns, not a War on Drugs.
but aren't gun laws enforced in a discriminatory manner also?
