How much would putting armed guards in every public school in country cost?  Sounds like a real waste of money.

I thank krazen for his posts of heroic stories of homeowners using semiautomatic assault weapons to protect themselves against home intruders.  At least, I assume that's what the weapons being used are.

That's a cheap quip, even for you.  The point remains is that you have yet to post a single article where someone defends themselves with a gun that was restricted by the 1994 FAW bill.

BUt let's face it, the vast majority of gun violence is done with handguns. Nothing short of banning handguns (which will never happen) is going to make a big dent in gun violence.

Perhaps the solution to all this is a reverse freakanomics law: ban all guns except AR-15 rifles.

Like the nuclear bomb, the mutual assured destruction would take hold.
