I like the juxtaposition of 'progressive values' with the bucolic scene.

Sympathies and all, but my first thought is that modern-day heraldry is the worst thing ever. It's been totally destroyed by these kind of 'seals' which are closer to fast food joint logos (the smiley face in the flag, wtf?).

What?  I don't think I've had any Southerners or Rednecks in my signature, ever.. not sure what you're referring to.

As for Zahar, I do like the animated tarts!

Features Herman Cain => freedom sig.

Would be much better if the picture respected proportionality, though.

I can't stomach Jon Stewart, but I'm glad Tony found USF a rewarding experience.

One of my favorites actually. It just has that certain je ne sais qua - the  model photographer meets the model, with both having a lot of talent - from which is forged fine art really.

That road's in California, no?  Very beautiful.

Utah. This secret road that nobody knows but the locals, goes on like that for about 30 miles, each and every turn offering one new and infinitely varied delights for the senses. It is the most beautiful vehicle path that I have ever traveled in my life - going away. I and my also Godless companion, had the closest thing (other than sometimes what happens in bed), to a religious experience.

This whole quadrant of Utah is just magnificent - and empty and undiscovered. It is almost as if "God" put it there for my personal pleasure and gratification. The neat and very reasonable priced little eight room guest ranch in the middle of nowhere (and the "darkest" spot in the lower 48 from a light pollution standpoint - so the star gazing in the rather arid 7,000 foot elevation vantage point is just beyond equal - bring your telescope, and go when the moon is new rather than full) - a node of organic farming and pot smoking but super friendly counter culture types who enjoy chatting with you, and helping you out (one gave me some "medicine"), is just the icing on the cake. One guy (who sported silver metal jewelry stuck in his face, and had some tattoos), offered if we stayed another day, to accompany us on a hike (he just works as a waiter/dish washer at night at the restaurant and is free during the day), showing us the coolest spots.

Needless to say, I had a great time, and came back a renewed man - with a smile on my face.  Smiley  I will put up some more pics (maybe in an off topic thread), when my boy toy gets back home from Salt Lake City, bringing his pics with him (he took most of the snaps riding shotgun, and when hiking about, with his much better camera than my hand held little cell phone).

Torie needs his own update thread.  Torie and Memo's Great Adventures.

Memo is my business partner, not my bed partner.

No wonder it's a secret highway.  It would be shameful to have put one there to begin with.

Agree with the quote. I assume the photo is that of Mr. Scott

Interesting AH link, I'll be reading it once I get out of school.

How'd they get Robert Preston to do a cameo for that cartoon?  He died before it even went on the air.

So rare to see a genuinely optimistic signature here, but it's quite fitting for the poster in question.

Somehow I doubt that's a cast photo for a local production of The Full Monty.
