Almost everyone here is okay, but if I had to pick just one, I'd go with Angus.

Uh...States and Mitty are the coolest Republicans (although I wouldn't want them both in the room with me at the same time Smiley ), of course Angus doesn't count as a Republican but he's cool anyways.
I dig Al, too, whom noone else seems to mention unless I've overlooked it.
And Akno and Verin tie for victory in the children's competition.

I had my favorites, for sure, as well as those who grated on my nerves like fingernails on a chalkboard from Hell.

If I had to name five of the "coolest" posters off the top of my head, they'd be Gabu, Alcon, Dazzleman, Cashcow, and Hughento.

Definitely a compliment; not an insult.  Your politics are so different from mine, and you're ALWAYS defending Santorum, but for whatever reason, I think you are the coolest guy ever.

Citizen Al and jmfcst are my favorite serious posters, although the latter is a tad intimidating at times, but stays on message and is generally cool as a cucumber.  Coolest?  hmmmm.  Dazzleman makes my nipples hard with his prescient and incisive posts.  Supersoulty strikes me as the one I'd want to be when I grow up.  Nym is the most endearing of the hard leftists.  And of course, Hugento is man enough to admit his passion for Speedo-brand swimwear.  That's very cool.  Vorlon's knowledge of polling is impressive.  MarkDel's constructionist interpretation of the constitution and BRTD's quest to mix pop and politics are cool too.  Richius' emerging sense of humor and general admiration of American law is cool as well.  Bob's fixation with Peter Griffin is cool too, but kinda spooky.  John Ford is very cool for using his Real Name as a username.  StatesRights is too cool for school and isn't afraid to let it show.  Texasgurl is cool because she's from Texas, and a chick too.  Nation wears a really cool hat and enjoys the occassional irreverent joke.  Ah, well, it's just too hard to decide.  All who are unafraid to post what they really think are cool, imho.  All who can laugh at themselves and admit their mistakes are cooler still.

All who insensitively antagonize others for sheer enjoyment are decidedly uncool.
