appointed, well it always has been IIRC

No, the position was made an appointed one only a few years ago.  I was elected in a write-in campaign in June 2009 as Lt. Gov. starting the campaign for the NE Assembly. Wink

Very nice! Since Fremont no longer has fixed terms for the House of Commons, the next election could take place at any point between now and the end of September with the expiration of the three month term.
