Sorry, dude.  If and when the Senate annexes the Canadian provinces, I will then recognize registrations in them.  Until then, there are 53 states in Atlasia to choose from (counting DC).

53? Did we annex Guam or something?

We have a state called Oceania, and yes Guam is a part of it.

You will not be able to vote in this weekends election, unfortunately.  But don't let that stop you from getting involved!

The intent of the law is to prevent a candidate, or a party, from getting all of their friends and relatives to register just so they will all vote for them in one election.  Which could happenm

First, let me say welcome to all new and returning registrants.

Both of the above registrants (Progressive Realist and RosettaStoned) originally posted their state of registration as California, then later edited their posts to reflect a registration in the state of Ohio.  Editing posts in this thread is not allowed, and is strongly frowned upon by yours truly.  However, when it is done in spite of rules to the contrary, I must deal with it as best I can.   I am therefore COUNTING these region changes as exactly what they are: region changes.  These two new registrants have used their "free" region change, and are not permitted to leave the Mideast region for a period of six months.

Let me re-iterate again: PLEASE do not edit or delete posts in this thread.  Thank you.

(I will vote for Lumine, but won't be here)

I am sorry, truly, Maxwell, but I am afraid the law is quite clear on this.  A voluntary de-registration, as you have done, requires a 60 day period before re-registering.  I cannot allow this registration at this time.

Progressive Realist is blocked from changing regions until June 26, 2014 (sorry):

Invalid de-registration, due to some quirk in the law about when this is allowed.  If you still want to do this, try again tomorrow.

In accordance with the provisions of F.L. 36-14 (De-registration of Banned Members Act), I would like to re-assume my prior registration as it was on February 18, 2013.

I do not have a preserved record of the circumstances of your prior registration.  Could you post a complete new registration- name, party, state?  Oh, and welcome back!

Folks, I have taken note of the fact that the Progressive Union has dissolved.  All current PRO members will be registered as independents in the next Census update, which I intend to post later today.   Smiley

Alfred's frequent state changes are a tad bit annoying, but not a big deal.  I've been hoping he would just lose interest in doing that, as time goes by.

I will leave it to homelycooking to interpret the law, and determine if this registration was posted in time to be eligible to vote in next week's election.

You do know that you aren't eligible to vote this weekend, don't you?

That said, welcome back.   Smiley

Behold! The hysterical cries of a corrupt fascist system that has held the Mecha back for many thousands of days!

Doesn't matter anyway, since the only will that matters is the will of the people!  Shall the People rule, or shall the wishes of a deranged dying old man!
?

I may be old by some measure, but I am neither deranged nor dying.  Tongue

Sorry I didn't notice this earlier...WorkingClassBro's forum account is less than 7 days old, meaning he cannot register yet.

Please try again on July 31 or later.  Thank you.

I am sorry, SirNick, but the law says you must wait 60 days after de-registering before registering anew.  As you de-registered on July 21, the soonest you can register is Sept. 19.

I am treating this as a formal declaration of de-registration.
