Just began episode 12. Has been a good season, I will have to take more time and watch it again as the AV Club publishes its reviews so that I catch everything.

Ah, when do those reviews come out?

They publish a major review of the full season on Monday, and also begin a series of weekly reviews that cover two episodes per review.

I Wasn't sold at all on the back half of the season. Perhaps bc I want to see Frank's downfall as a viewer. It was just too much. Idk. I'm still absorbing. That's the thing about this distribution model. I'm gonna have to watch it again, but slower.

I saw most of the first episode when it accidentally came up in early February, and was not impressed. The second episode of the new season has been an improvement, however.

I stopped watching this show because of how they're making such an evil couple into the protagonists...
So I suspect Breaking Bad is unwatchable too.

Yeah, it was pretty disgusting.

Edit: To be clear, I've only seen the first 2 episodes of Breaking Bad, and I stopped watching it not cause he's bad, but because the guy I was watching it with stopped coming over to my house. Normally I don't watch tv shows. House of Cards was an exception due to its political themes. So for all I know, Breakng Bad develops into a great show.

Why do they only refer to Palestine as the Jordan Valley?

Scandal has the television rights to Palestine, so contractually it can't be said unless they want to pay ABC every time.

I stopped watching Scandal and I have no desire to return.

Then you will never see Palestine on television ever again.

Am I the only one who found it really unseemly when Dunbar and Sharp said they'd be volunteering to help the hurricane relief effort? No politician would do that in real life; if they did they would be making it about themselves, politicizing the tragedy, it would be seen as anything but selfless. We didn't see Romney and Obama handing out canned goods after Hurricane Sandy. And if we did it would have made them look awful.

This is part of a larger issue I have with the show's politics

Is it fair to say that Underwood is Bill Clinton on steroids?

No
