I kinda cheated tonight.  As you may know today was free pancake day at IHOP's all across the nation in exchange for a small donation to the featured charity or organization.  I went to IHOP this evening and indulged in the free short stack of pancakes.  I donated $2.00 to the Primary Children's Network of Salt Lake City and only had to pay for my drink.  I did have a regular Pepsi with my meal.  I don't feel too guilty about it because I may have consumed 500-700 calories altogether.  All I had were the pancakes, syrup, and 1 glass of the Pepsi.  I didn't have any eggs or bread or bacon with it, just the pancakes.  Plus, I helped out an honorable local charity.

Delusional calorie count is delusional.

According to IHOP's website, a short stack is about 500 calories, 1 glass of Pepsi is 130 calories (if you only had 1), and regular syrup has 110 calories an ounce.

This was a cheat meal for BushOK, make no mistake, as nothing he hate had any nutritional value at all to make up for the calories he ate. They were "empty calories" essentially. I hope he doesn't go stuff his face at Village Inn or Golden Corral this weekend, or he may as well not even bother trying to drop weight.

I understand this is difficult and a real life changing experience, so patience and careful changes must be made, but perhaps it is time to go from once a week at Golden Corral to once ever two weeks and go from there. Heck, I couldn't imagine eating that once a week! But I am not BushOK, so it would be like telling me I couldn't have any greens or something for a week and I could only eat carbs, pizza, hamburgers and drink regular soda. I'd feel sluggish and bloated.

How many ounces of syrup do you think was on their, Dukey?  And of course the 500 count is probably for a plain pancake.

It would appear that Bushie has resigned himself to the predictable series finale: a fatal heart-attack at 35.

We have to wait 5  years?  Ugh.

Can't Bushie just buy some low-fat/low-calorie ranch dressing or something? Surely he enjoys the taste of ranch dressing, as most stunted American palettes do.

Dukie's vinaigrette dressing actually tastes better. A chef taught me to make it, when I complemented his dressing at a restaurant. He also gave me a jar of it to take home. I told my waiter to praise the chef on the dressing he made, and the chef came out with the jar later, and so forth. Sometimes it "pays" to thank folks for jobs well done. Who knew?

The differences are twofold.  1) You're a suck-up, but more importantly, 2) Bushie would have never ordered it in a restaurant.  He'd ask for Hidden Valley ranch or somesuch swill out of a bottle.

One thing you ought to conider is that your job longevity- the time you spend at each place of employment- will be a factor in others determining whether or not they will hire you. If I have a drifter come before me wanting to build houses and I come to find he's held five jobs in the past year- that makes me suspicious of his reliability
My advice- stick with a job longer then you seem to be inclined to do, and it will help your cause when you want to move on...

We've mentioned it like a hundred times.

What contractor in their right mind will hire you given you leave jobs faster than I change heads on my toothbrush?

You don't just buy a new toothbrush whole?  I've never heard of 'changing heads' on a toothbrush.  Maybe on a 'shaver'...

An electric toothbrush.

Do people actually use those?  Sounds so 1950s!

I do.....they make really good ones now.  And yeah, you gotta change the heads on those things periodically.

I wonder if Bushie has done his taxes yet. His returns should be interesting. He better get a lot back with his current plans...

I hope he doesn't get audited... that poor IRS agent.

He would make more on public assistance........no income/no deductions/no worries.

On the other hand, his parents encourage his awful choices as well, so...

His friends are even worse.

I jump back into this saga of chemically imbalanced ridiculousness for the first time in a year, and the first thing I see is that our retarded hero is coming to my town?!  As in, BushOklahoma and I are going to be in the same area code??!  Dude, you had better be just passing through; I don't want my life to be f[inks]ed up just by geographic association with you.

I may make a bathroom stop in Las Vegas, but I'll coming in on I-15 and will be exiting on US 95 down toward I-40.  I'll be in Las Vegas no more than 30 minutes including driving through and using the can.  What is your address so I can use the restroom?  Haha, j/k.

Folks, I have got everything canceled up here, the cable will be turned off tomorrow, and I have just taken a few things to Goodwill and I will on the road before Noon tomorrow.  I've got to the car loaded tonight, then I'll load the car, take the cable box/modem to the Comcast store tomorrow at 7:00 am and be on the road later in the morning most likely in the 9:00-10:00 am time frame.  So, Joe, expect me around 3:00 pm PST tomorrow afternoon. Smiley

There has never been a point I could pack my life in a car in 48 hours......he's planned this for  LONG time.....we're being lied to......again.

There's no question he was fired a while back.  Even in my poorest days I couldn't get everything in order in 48 hours.......not possible.

Remember when he insisted that he needed several weeks to prepare for a 4 day trip?

He can't change all his goddamn calendars in under a week.

I wonder if he'll stop to see the Grand Canyon. It's not too far from I-40. It's well worth seeing if you've not been before.

He's in California now.  Nothing like a 500 mile detour.

If you're house being vacant is an issue, and it is, why aren't you staying there?
