Of course not. I have a seven year old niece, so some may be vaguely aware of the My Little Pony cartoon.

Current My Little Pony is far stronger than current Update, so definitely anyone a fan of Update now. Update in it's heyday and MLP when Lauren Faust was running it are comparable in quality, both utterly fantastic.

Yeah, the Update definitely has a more 'respectable' dramatic appeal in a sense.

I know enough fans of both not to consider either particularly weird myself, but from an outside perspective both probably are, so I'm not sure I can answer the original question.

It's nothing compared to my workplace. There's pony figurines and drawings in cubicles everywhere, and in the chat room in addition to all the pony avatars (probably about half the avatars are either ponies or Pokemon) it's full of people saying things like "Good morning everypony" when logging on and giving advice like "Return to the mane screen".

You, guys, have to look into yourselves before saying that bronies or any other similar devoted followers of any worship are weird. Look, this Forum is full of political junkies and weirdos (I include myself, of course). Not to mention how comedic may be many of the posters around here. Don't play to be 'adult' persons, because many of the non-bronies around here sometimes seem childish as well. Live and let live, kids.
