To those who think he was a freedom fighter, I'd like genuinely like to hear your reasoning.  Even if he was a successful business leader, do you at least acknowledge his extreme anti-semitism and Nazi sympathies?  And if so, what is your rationale for ignoring those?  Just curious.

To those who think he was a freedom fighter, I'd like genuinely like to hear your reasoning.  Even if he was a successful business leader, do you at least acknowledge his extreme anti-semitism and Nazi sympathies?  And if so, what is your rationale for ignoring those?  Just curious.

The same reason we all ignore negative qualities in people we like: we feel like it, and life is a lot easier that way.

Fair enough, although I'd argue it's better to acknowledge the negative aspects as well since it allows us to take a more balanced view of the individual.

This little piece of trivia is in Halberstram's most fabulous book about Ford and Nissan, and how their sagas influenced their respective host nations.

No, you don't put all your eggs in one basket, and a robust white collar urban economy is what gives cities vitality - and economic strength.

Yeah - the 'Panther Platform' - fine cars.  My mom had a several Mercury Grand Marquis over the years, and we also had a Lincoln Town car for a while.  Never had a Crown Victoria though.

However I must say I have pretty much never preferred any Ford over the General Motors equivalent.  For example this is much preferable to the Ford pictured:
