We're going to need candidates for Vice Chair and Whip, as no one has declared for those positions yet.

I kind of feel like stepping down from the leadership here, at least for a little while.

It may be redundant, but it's still important to have it on there.

Maybe a Churchillian "capitalism is the worst economic system except all the others."?

Good platform proposal, SJoyce.  I'll probably be supporting it when the time comes to vote. Smiley

I am proposing the following change to our bylaws;

It should say "No longer than one week before one of the offices are officially contested". The NE Assembly elections and the At-Large Senate Elections were held on different dates, but in the same month, so it should be held one week before the first election of that month. We can make exceptions for Special Elections, though.

Clinton1996, would you be interested in the Whip position?
I'm giving it some thought. What exactly does the position entail?

It's not very different from the VC position.  Basically, you just recruit people and count party votes sometimes.

Those who have not signed in yet may still do so, but we will now begin our second day of the convention.  The floor is now open to all delegates and presidential candidates to make speeches in advocacy of their policy proposals, candidacies, or anything else regarding the direction of our party.

Presidential candidates are highly encouraged to speak at this point!!!

With all due respect to Mr. Jbrase, I will fight this plank proposal until the day I die Tongue
