I mean, come on. There's all the excitement about Hillary Clinton maybe being President, speculation about Cuomo or Christie or O'Mailey or Bush, and others. This is not about those people. This is: who, out of everyone who we are mostly sure is not running, would you REALLY want to see run for President?

For me: Al Franken, (obviously) Rachel Maddow, Scott Brown, Bernie Sanders

Bernie Sanders is up there, as is Howard Stern, Pete Seeger, Mitch Daniels, Pat Buchanan (well, he already ran, but a fourth run at it would be cool), Willie Nelson, Rachel Maddow, and David Walker.

Bernie Sanders and Russ Feingold, maybe. Actually, more Feingold than Sanders. But I can't think of anyone who clearly stands out from the pack.

Hillary Clinton really is the person who I want to run.
After her, Kirsten Gillibrand.
After her, Hickenlooper.
After him, Schweitzer.

Maaaayybeee Jerry Brown.

I'm curious about a few of the Democratic freshman Senators, but I don't expect or really want them to run in 2016 (at least not without saying how they do over the next couple years).

Me.

Or, actual politicians -- I don't know, there's no one with quite my set of beliefs out there for me to get excited about. I suppose I'll get behind the call for Stewart, he's a good dude.

My father. Tongue

Seriously, my father would make a great president. Socially and economically moderate. PhD, pro-business.

Simfan Sr. for President!

Stephen Colbert (another fake, unsuccessful run maybe, but it's unlikely he gets on the ballot).

For the Dems, Mary Landrieu or Al Gore

For the GOP, Richard Burr or Roy Blunt

Awesome pick.  Surprised more people didn't mention him.  A true fiscal conservative, who isn't a bigot, and actually cares about the environment.

The problem with a lot of these picks is they would get torn apart by their respective parties in the primaries.  Eastwood is not going to change his views on gays or the environment from some gun toting Bible clinger.

If someone like Eastwood were to head up the Republican ticket and the Democrats ran someone like Al Gore or John Kerry I could see myself voting for Eastwood.  Washington would be interesting.  I don't know how much he could really get done though.  Both parties would find tons of stuff to hate him for.
