Takes politics way too personally.  If he dropped his grudges, what's left of the man is FF.

HP.

I admire his service to this country, but honestly, I think he has been a hugely toxic voice in favor of the military industrial complex. Along with that, he is a man of very few core principles and I think that his influence on our system is a fairly negative one.

One of the best FFs in the Senate, or anywhere at all nowadays in high-level American politics.

FF until he lost to Obama. Now he'd probably be an HP. So mixed I guess.

Well, he's not as popular as he used to. I remember when I had a poll where McCain/Hitler was beating Opebo by a landslide.

I liked McCain for a long time. I can even understand his sharp turn to the right after 2001. This is politics and he tried to become the next Republican nominee. However after 2008 he became a pathetic, bitter hack, and him playing leading role in political lynching of Susan Rice was utterly disgusting.

Perhaps the most overrated politician in history.  Well, next to Herbert Hoover.

The hilarious thing is that the whole point of it didn't work out, Scott Brown declined to run in the election. McCain put all that effort into trolling Susan Rice just to have Scott Brown pass.

This. But FF McCain will shine through sometimes.
Up until his run for the nomination and implosion in Summer 2007 because of Immigration Reform he would've been considered a massive FF. Then he ran to the right, won the nod, gave the world Sarah Palin and helped stoke birtherism. Then in mid-October 2008, FF McCain returned and shot down talk of Obama being Muslim. After he lost though, he became bitter and hackish toward the President. In September 2011, after the Debt Ceiling Debacle, FF McCain took to the Senate Floor and ripped the tea party as Hobbits. Then in 2012 he killed the nomination of Susan Rice for political purposes on something she had nothing to do with. Mccain is just inconsistent.
