Seeing La Follette (possibly) poised to win another nomination, I have to ask: We're not going to see Harold Stassen's name on the ballot 47 times in a row, are we?

Right. It's clearly time to bring back the closed primary. As much as I enjoy voting in each party's primary, if people here are going to abuse the privilege...

I will vote against damaging Norris, La Follette, Johnson, Hoover or (a bit more reluctantly) Coolidge by them being on the ticket with Wood.

And I am stating right now for the benefit of all you Socialist hacks that your shenanigans have stopped me from even considering voting for Debs in the general. Even if it ends up being between Wood and McAdoo, I will flip a coin if I have to.

In fact, if Wood wins the nomination, I'm leading a Convention walkout in favor of Coolidge (who leads among "real" Republicans) and nominating Mayor Ole Hanson of Seattle as VP.
