He's a weird person. Why is he emailing drawings of himself bathing?

Hacking is very wrong.

That said, it would be nice if his administration (or Obama's) had concern for privacy when in office...

They were e-mails to his sister, whose account it was.

I didn't really expect him to be a great artist or anything. Painting is actually quite hard. I use to love art but was quite awful at it. I'm not going to mock him for something I couldn't do myself. Enjoy your hobby President Bush.

I won't mock him because I can't do any thing artistically close to that but I think it's the subject matter that opens him to it. Obviously these were supposed to be private but it's still a bit odd. I don't really care though. It's just amusing.

Whoever did this is a bully, plain and simple.

Whatever he did or did not do as president doesn't mean he can't do what many people do when they retire and take up a hobby. The paintings aren't finished and we will probably not see the finished products unless this hacker decides to intercept more private emails. If nothing else, the fact that he chose to paint himself and in this way suggests he might be a little more introspective than most people assume. This is a very vulnerable way for a former president to depict himself and I think it's to his credit that he was willing to do so, even if he didn't intend for the paintings to become fodder for public consumption.

And let's be honest, Obama could take a selfie of his junk in the bathroom mirror with his BlackBerry, have it transferred to canvas and you'd have people saying it ought to be hung in the National Gallery.

I know, it just seems a little strange to email drawings like to his sister.

Awww, Dubya. I think the paintings are fine, the shower one looks kind of sad. Despite my personal feelings about his Presidency, I truly hope he is as happy as he can be for the rest of his life.

Basically this, though I do wonder if he (Bush) understands the full magnitude of his presidency, and why people hate him so much (rightfully so).

It is often as easy to forge as it is to hack. Remember: hackers and forgers are both crooks unless they do so for legitimate purposes of national security or law enforcement.

Perhaps, but crooks and forgers are preferable to the Bushes.

Dubya, at the least, would have been convicted for "crime against peace" and "conventional war crimes" in accordance with the Nuremberg trials.

Dubya may have been the worst President in American history.

Hyperbole. Bush was bad, but he was not a war criminal. Cheney and Rumsfeld were the criminals. What "war crimes" have been committed?

Why would Cheney and Rumsfeld be held accountable but not the Commander in Chief?

Indeed. The C-in-C is responsible for his people. Being a dumbass manipulated by them is not an excuse.
