I don't really interact with people who oppose gay marriage, so I don't have the opportunity to "aggressively" support it even if I wanted to.

I believe that all Americans should be forced to get gay married.

If you don't already have a prospective husband, I'm available. Wink

What does aggressively supporting something mean? I support it as a no-brianer (and favor taking government out of marriage and making licenses private), but I wouldn't verbally attack a person who didn't support it. Only if they were hateful would I start to be critical.

What about Bryans, though? I'm sure Snowguy would like to get married some day.

I would never initiate an argument about same-sex marriage. If I were explicitly asked about my opinion on it, I'd just say I don't support any government involvement in marriage.

I openly and aggresively support civil unions, but not gay marriage.

Is there a difference? Other than semantics?
Glad to hear you support the right of two people to love each other.

It never really comes up in conversation, and I don't really ever bring it up, but if someone asks my opinion on it, I tell them I support it.

I'm pretty aggressive in promoting all of my politial views but this particularly even though it's hardly a hot button topic. More so against homophobia because even though everyone supports gay marriage, many really lack full acceptance of behaviors associated with homosexuality.

But there are a lot of people getting called out aggressively every week.

Openly and strongly, yes. I don't know about aggressive, though I've never argued the position with someone opposed. I consider the issue to be fundamentally no different than that of interracial marriage and those opposed to be based in a very similar prejudice that I just cannot respect.

I support it, I suppose. I would never talk about a political topic in polite company, let alone do so "aggressively".

I openly support civil unions. Whether to stay there (my position) or go to full marriage
should be a state decision.

Well that's a big non-answer.

At this point, it would just be twisting the knife into the corpse of matrimonial bigotry when it comes to SSM. So no, not aggressively (granted in my world I almost never meet anyone who opposed SSM to my face). It's time to take quiet satisfaction that justice has been largely done, and move along to attempt to heal the wounds that divided with malice towards none, and get on with life, and other pressing issues, like the collapse of our secondary educational system. In my view, that is the only way to get business intelligently done in such a heterogeneous nation such as ours, without leaving around unnecessary scar tissue, which will metastasize into other issues.

Most of the people around me (in school and such) that oppose gay marriage are idiots regardless, so I can't help but be aggressive whenever arguing about the subject with them. It's an issue that is so common sense in my mind, however, that I tend to be aggressive in my support anyways because most of the arguments used against it completely disgust me.
