I suspect culture wars, with immigration tacked on. The current Obama approach of doing imperialism "on the cheap" via drones, allies, and limited deployments will likely go over reasonably well with the large majority of the Republican party. The only reason they complain now is because they're not in charge of it.

On the other hand. I suspect that the culture wars (gay rights and marriage, abortion, hating on foreigners, even some gun control) don't actually matter that much to the wealth-worshipping wing of the party. So they'll be a split between those who really would like to win, and the rank and file for whom ideological purity trumps all. Additionally, that same crowd is convinced that McCain and Romney lost because they "weren't conservative enough" which is likely to motivate them to push even harder for a "true" conservative.
