HockeyDude narrowly squeaks by with a win over President Obama.

Why the hell would I ever lose Massachusetts?

Poppycock!  Catholics would fall in love with a quirky atheist like me.  'Tis a discussion for another thread, though.

And why the hell would West Virginia and Kentu... oops!  Nope.  You're right, I would win them.

Sorry TNF, but the mainstream media doesn't take your primary bid seriously and you almost instantly fizzle out. Obama breaks 90% everywhere except Oklahoma, Arkansas, Kentucky, West Virginia, Tennessee, Michigan and Pennsylvania where you win some conservative Democrat protest votes.

Supersonic does OK, he wins the Mountain west due a natural support base, except those with strong Mormon constituencies. Wins the Southern-ish states due to his being the anti-Romney.

But, this is a clear Romney win.

TNF v Obama ... TNF is basically the anti-Obama, sucking up angry white voters.

This is assuming President Obama isn't running for reelection, correct?

I think Scott is favored - he's seen as a little more palatable to both moderates and liberals in the party...a happy medium, so to speak.

The Republican Party simply wasn't ready for EG's libertarian vision, opting instead for Mitt Romney's well-funded, poll-tested Harvard Business School case study of a presidential campaign.

Gov. Scott has surprising success with narrow wins in IA and NH, drawing support across the country from those criticizing the President from both the left and the right.  However, Obama wins the large states and so goes into the convention with the clear majority of delegates.

Senator Shua (D-Va.) runs against Pres. Obama, building a coalition of dissatisfied liberaltarians and populist conservative Democrats that ultimately slices the map up like this:
