So what are current projections for the seats now? I'm saying Hagrid, Matt, Nappy, X, and MaxQue

Its far too close to make any projections. Only Hagrid breaks the quota (21). I meet the quota when Poirot is eliminated. The rest are at 15, 15, 15, 14, and 13. Any single vote can change things dramatically. I've never seen something like this happen.

For those keeping track, I've finished my edits, well within the 20 minute allowed window.  I plan no more.  I apologize to homely for mixing the ballot up so, but I felt like being very random.

The Sentinel, is now projecting that SJoyce will be elected the next Emperor of the Imperial Dominion of the South.

Congratulations! Smiley

Here are the full results I have for the Northeast Assembly.  If my calculations are correct, we will have one vacancy in the Assembly if Matt stays in the Senate, leaving EarlAW the opportunity to run in a special election.

Quota = 2

FIRST BALLOT

Goldwater: 5 (20RP12, Matt from VT, cinyc, Goldwater, Winfield) ELECTED

Bore: 6 (Nathan, Kalwejt, DemPGH, Earthling, bore, fezzyfestoon) ELECTED

Snowball: 2 (Averroes Nix, Snowball) ELECTED

Kalwejt: 2 (Napoleon, Scott) ELECTED

EarlAW: 1 (EarlAW)

Matt from VT: 0

SECOND BALLOT

EarlAW: 2 (EarlAW, bore, fezzyfestoon)

Matt from VT: 6 (Matt from VT, Napoleon, Scott, cinyc, Matt from VT, Snowball) ELECTED

I honest-to-God hope that this is accurate.  I hate math, and math hates me.

Disregard the post I just deleted.  I see ow that instead of putting the names of every not on the ballot first in alphabetical order, Lewis put practically everyone's name including the declared candidates in alphabetical order, so alfred is 9th on his list.  Still if one of those eight above Alfred were to accept write-n votes in the ten minutes remaining, Alfred would have one less 1st pref and thus lose a tiebreaker with Kalwejt.

Preliminary projection: Hagrid, Napoleon, MaxQue and Mr.X are in, with the fifth seat going to either Kalwejt or Alfred depending on who gets the most second preferences.  (I'm assuming that no matter who gets eliminated of that pair few if any of their votes will transfer to Matt.)

Update:  A late vote for Kalwejt means he's definitely in, assuming my counts are accurate and that Alfred's votes transfer roughly as expected.

The Sentinel has already projected that me and Hagrid had won yesterday, because the bulk of his surplus gets distributed to me, since all but 2 or 3 of Hagrid's first preference voters, second preferenced me. Of course I'm not too comfortable right now.

Hagrid got practically no votes at the end.  If I'm counting right, He was elected on the first count with no surplus at all.

My vote for myself and shua's lone vote for poitrot transfer to napoleon on the second count.

Alfred is eliminated on the third count, with his transfers putting MaxQue over with a large surplus and Napoleon over with a small surplus.

(I think Lewis' vote for Alfred transfers to Mr. X, but I didn't double check that.)

I'll leave it to homely to come up with exact numbers, but almost all of MaxQue's surplus transfers roughly evenly to Kal and X.  Napoleon's surplus transfers roughly 2/3 Kal and 1/3 Matt.  I'm not certain if either of Kal or X goes over the quota of 23, but it doesn't matter as Matt gets eliminated with the fewest votes anyway.

(I think X just barely goes over and Kal doesn't go over quota after the fourth count transfers from MaxQue and Napoleon.)

My numbers are showing that the general gist of what Ernest is saying is right. It's entirely possible that some of the zombies from the left didn't meet the activity requirements though, and that could seriously change the way things shake out.

He didn't break activity rules, he wasn't registered in time. You have to be registered seven days before the election in order to vote. I've introduced a constitutional amendment to eliminate that waiting period.

No votes were invalid due to activity.
