I'm surprised - only 15% say McDonalds is their favorite burger joint.

Only 21% say they consider themselves to be obese...America is full of liars.

Probably their perceptions have changed as the world around them has changed.  If you look on Backpage, you'll see girls describing themselves as 'slim' which don't meet my idea of slim by any stretch of the imagination.

Or just not self-aware...or, most likely, in denial

Burger King's burgers are far better than McDonald's... but they're still not good enough to actually eat (I haven't had a fast food hamburger in years).  Whereas McD's has good fries and breaded chicken things.  So I guess I'd have to choose McD's between the two.

I don't know if it actually counts as "fast food", but my favorite chain is Qdoba.

What makes you say that?  I've read that on many university campuses the % of vegetarians is close to 40%.

Veganism is starting to become more of a mainstream fad.  I know Amare Stoudemire is big on it now. 7 percent is probably too high but it wouldn't surprise me if bottom of the MOE 4 percent of adults were.

And which universities would those be? I doubt it's many, if any.

I believe it's also been shown that a lot of people who say they are veg*n in polls actually do eat meat and don't really understand what the terms mean.

It also says that white men, Republicans, and blacks are most likely to be vegan. Small sample size FTL.

I'm guessing 1% of Americans are vegan...

Sadly, none of these questions are actually about food. Orange soda and Kentucky Fried Chicken are not food.

The question made me lol

What if you consider it to be a crappy source of authentic ethnic food?

The question made me lol

If you look at the crosstabs, Republicans consider Olive Garden to be a quality source of authentic ethnic food while Democrats don't.

By tiny, tiny margins, and there's not much difference in attitudes toward fast food either.  Interesting.

There's a much better survey from Market Force released recently. There's an article on HuffPost about it.

They must define regional boundaries strangely... Culver's hasn't invaded the West very much yet.  It's still primarily Midwestern.  (BUT BY JOVE IT SHOULD BE NATIONAL)

Mad propz to Five Guys, though.

What’s your favorite meal: breakfast, lunch, or
dinner?

Lunch 11% ..............................................................
Dinner 52% .............................................................
Not sure 8%

Well look at that.  The disparity between women who drink regular soda vs. diet is far greater than men.  More men drink diet.  Fascinating.

probably.  The poll actually has Hispanics as most likely to be vegan, with half of all Hispanics as either vegetarian or vegan.

These results actually made me reassess how I feel about lunch, and yeah, I quite enjoy it. Team Lunch.
