We ought to consider clarifying other portions of the committee resolutions while we're at it.

Go ahead with yours. I'm going to review everything and see what I think we could do to work out any kinks.

If Chairmanship votes are uncontested, they should have the voting requirement waived. Thoughts?

I would be fine with disposing with the voting period for uncontested chairmanships. If someone objects to another committee member serving as chair, they ought to run against that person or just say so. Giving them the chance to register their disapproval in a vote isn't worth delaying committee activity for several days.

Exactly.

I forgot that you, Nix and I have to do everything around here Mr. PPT. Tongue

Yeah I will "unleash" my amendment very soon, probably around 1 AM.

Gah. Within twenty four hours, I guarantee you that. I have most of it but I need to do some fine tuning. I admit I forgot about this. I was, um, inebriated by 1 Am.

Amendment to Article 7, Section 3 of OSPR

4. The committee shall select one of its members to serve as Chairman of the Committee. If only one Senator declares for a Chairman position on a Standing Committee, no vote will be required.

I have since learned that everything else I had is useless, unless the wiki is out of date. Its going to take some research on my part, so I will introduce that as its own resolution if I am reelected. Right now I don't have the time, being in the process of moving. Ugh.

Yeah there are some other quirks too. Like the president of the Senate choosing committee chairs.

I think eventually, we will have to sit down and redo the entire OSPR/Committee everything. But that is quite a project.
