McCauliffe is probably favored anyway...

Article.

Eh, don't know what to say.

I like him, if push came to shove, I would stick with McAuliffe.

Ugh.  Now all that's left is to count the days until McAuliffe's election and inauguration.

Lean D as long as Terry can turn out black voters (the Democratic campaign machine seems to be working on improving minority turnout in midterms).

All McAuliffe needs is to get 60 percent in Fairfax, 55 percent in PWC, and squeeze out a win in Loudoun.

really disappointing, Bolling was the only decent one between a couple of sleazebag crooks. Virginia is now going to have a corrupt and sleazy governor for sure, both are ideological windbags.

McAuliffe strikes me as a hack and a corporatist, but not an ideologist.

McAuliffe isn't in the slightest ideological. He's just an ex-DNC chair who happens to be infatuated with Bill Clinton. He's also corporatist, as the person above me said, because he's fairly rich himself. Strikes me as centrist and just your average Clintonite.

Cuccinelli on the other hand... he rules by ideology alone. Democrats had a big opportunity here to launch a rising star, and instead we put a generic D in the spotlight.

I can't tell if he's worse than DWS or not. He's certainly probably easier to get along with.

Is there a better candidate in Virginia?

My preferred candidate (Tom Perriello) already declined.

The Dem bench in Virginia is surprisingly weak, isn't it? Who else would we run, Jerry Moran?

Ah, beat me by 2 seconds. I agree Perriello would have been better.

Aneesh Chopra sounds VERY appealing as a Lt. Gov candidate. He's progressive, an ex-CTO, and ex-Secretary of Technology. You have any thoughts on him?
