    Just saw that Pope Francis studied in Freiburg in I believe the late 1980's.  What do you know, so did I.  No, I don't remember meeting a fifty something Argentine jesuit getting his doctorate in theology but its possible we were eating in the cafeteria (everybody ate there, unlimited refills and cheap price) at the same time.  Ah, brushes with history.

Yeah, he was in Frankfurt in '85 for a few months too. Studied and lived at Sankt Georgen. Beautiful grounds, a friend of mine worked there for a while and showed me around.

Darn it, reports of his doctorate from Freiburg are apparently false.  Looks like he only studied in Sankt Georgen, not in Freiburg.  False information on the internet, who would have imagined.
