Colin Powell vs. Walter Mondale.

Colin Powell does worse in the white vote in the south by a bit, but more than makes up for this with a big increase in the African-American vote share.

Meanwhile, Mondale pulls a Mondale, losing everywhere except for Massachusetts. D.C. is closer due to the black vote being more mixed, but is still not close.

How about Bush dies, and the Republicans nominate Powell/Guiliani.  the Democrats nominate Kucinich/Barney Frank.
