And Maxwell, I'd just like to ask why you preference JCL over me or Simfan or Poirot?

Probably Deus, but this is tough - we have some great candidates!

I like just about everyone running, but JCL second best represents my views. Yes, his reasoning on abortion, gay marriage, and the flat tax are wrong, and he wants religion in government more than me, but otherwise JCL's ideology, if more extreme than mine, is representative.  I vote more on ideas than on temperament I guess.

This seems to be a very tight race between Alfred, Deus, and Simfan. True tossup.

Alfred, I guess. Second-pref depends on whether I feel like abandoning Iranian democracy, foreign aid, or the Palestinians.

To abandon Iranian democracy now, we'd have to already have one. Smiley

They are all good candidates, but yeah, I'm definetly not a fan of the foreign policy views of most of the field.

Yeah, I don't really line up with any of the candidate on foreign policy, although mostly for different reason than Sjoyce. Tongue
