Edwards knows that he can't win this without running hard. Early voting starts tomorrow, so it is critical for him to start running up score ahead of election day.

I would love to see Edwards winning this, but I don't see that coming, sorry. Conway just got eviscerated and I think Vitter will end up winning just because Obama is a democrat, like Edwards.

Conway's percentage was the same as his polling average. Edwards has cleared 50% consistently.

This and Conway is a bumbling idiot and an incompetent. John Bel Edwards, a beautiful military man, is none of those things.

This.
Conway lost because most undecideds went against him.  If polling numbers hold up, Vitter can't win even if he gets all the undecided vote.

New ad by the anti-Vitter Gumbo PAC. It features registered Republicans who aren't voting for Vitter.

I feel like we're going to have to put Miles on suicide watch if Edwards doesn't win.

^ I made it through 2014 losing Landrieu and Hagan, so I think I'll be okay this time as well. Wink

That "prostitutes above patriots" ad is only going to backfire on Edwards's campaign, unfortunately.

Vitter's first ad in the runoff was basically "Obama and Edwards are gonna let all the thugs out of prison!" Edwards has another good add out - the sheriffs who support him push back against Vitter.

Because it's false?

The reason many Vitter supports are throwing a hissy fit over it is because its an effective reminder of their surreal double standards.

The LA Dems chair says "there's more to come."

Farewell David Vitter, we hardly knew ye.

So Republicans get to run ads like this against Democrats, but once a Democrat returns the favor, they "cross the line"?

This is why I supported Scott Angelle. The minute I saw Angelle losing by 2%, I knew the Governorship was going to the Democrats. Vitter is a politically dead duck walking. I might have gotten Conway wrong but I'm not seeing how Edwards loses a lead of 20% in 2 weeks. I agree, it won't be a 20% win, but it's going to be a healthy win.

Some legislative results from the primary. Three Republican Senators beat more conservative challengers outright: Conrad Appel (Metairie), Dan Claitor (Baton Rouge ) and Norby Chabert (Houma).

Can't they just post both results?
The jungle primary map look so much more fun and colorful.

Blacks made up 30% of early voters yesterday, the first day to vote early.

It was 26% in the first round early vote.
